NHS Flu Vaccination Eligibility:


  1. Adults aged 65 and over
  2. People aged 6 months to under 65 in eligible clinical risk groups
  3. Pregnant women
  4. Children aged 2–16 years on 31 August 2026
  5. People living in long-stay residential care
  6. Carers in certain circumstances
  7. Close contacts of people who are immunocompromised
  8. Certain frontline health and social care workers

The New Medicine Service is a Free NHS service, offered through your pharmacy, to help you understand your condition and get the most out of your new medicine.
The service is for individuals who have been received a first prescription for a new medicine to treat any of the following conditions: Asthma, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD), Lung conditions such as Chronic Bronchitis and Emphysema, Type 2 Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Osteoporosis, Gout, Glaucoma, Heart failure, Coronary heart disease, Atrial fibrillation, conditions where you take a medicine to control the way your blood clots (Anticoagulants and Antiplatelets), and Depression (for adults aged 18 and over).
The New Medicine Service is available for a range of eligible health conditions:
  1. Help you to find out more about the new medicine you are taking.
  2. Help to sort out any problems you are having with your new medicine.
  3. Give you a chance to ask questions about your medicine and discuss any concerns.
  4. Help to improve the effectiveness of your new medicine, for example, there may be an easier or better way to take it.
  5. Help you to make your own decisions about managing your condition.
  6. Help you to improve your health, which could lead to fewer GP and hospital visits.
