Can I have a free flu jab?

You don’t need a GP's referral or GP's permission to have a free flu jab. If you do have a free flu jab with us, we’ll let your GP know.

You're eligible for a FREE NHS flu vaccine if:

  • You're over 50
  • You're pregnant
  • You have asthma or a lung condition
  • You have chronic heart disease
  • You have diabetes
  • You have a chronic kidney or liver condition
  • You've had a stroke
  • You have an illness or are taking medicines that affect your immune system

Book Your NHS Flu and Covid Vaccination

The NHS Flu vaccination is free for people aged 65 or over (including those who'll be 65 by 31 March 2026), children aged 2-3, people who have certain long-term health conditions or who are pregnant, live in a care home, are the main carer for an older or disabled person, receive a carer's allowance, live with someone who has a weakened immune system or are frontline health or social care workers .


The NHS Covid vaccination is free for people over 75 (including those who'll be 75 by 31 March 2026) or patients aged 18 to 74 years and have a weakened immune system because of a health condition or treatment or people who live in a care home for older adults.
